Kweichow Moutai

Kweichow Moutai is a packaging design for a Chinese spirit sold in Japan. The bottle shape is based on the classic Moutai bottle and takes the colors and character of Ru Kiln porcelain, which began in the Tang dynasty. The calligraphy on the package comes from a poem by the Japanese poet Prince Nagaya, written during the Tang dynasty. The same phrase appeared on relief supplies sent from Japan to Wuhan, recalling long cultural exchange between the two countries. The package measures 77 by 77 by 173 millimeters. The design serves as a medium for cultural exchange.

Large-format typographic posters are printed and installed in public urban locations, where bold layouts and color systems attract attention. Each poster works as a marker for augmented reality content, which viewers reach by scanning the printed image with a smartphone. The augmented reality layer adds animated and interactive material that extends the printed message. The campaign presents art education to prospective students in a direct and participatory way.

Moutai Shengyue Flying Fairy

Moutai Shengyue Flying Fairy is a packaging design for a Chinese baijiu liquor. The design draws on the Flying Fairy figures painted in the Dunhuang murals, in particular the music god in Cave 401 of the Mogao Grottoes, shown holding a sheng instrument with a graceful posture. The main color is crimson yarn, a traditional Chinese color, and the metal bottle cap pattern is made with a traditional enamel technique. The box opens from the right side and holds a two layered cloud pattern structure inside. The set measures 140 by 105 by 280 millimeters and uses paper, ceramics and metal.

Devil is a workshop toolkit created for the Design Ethics and Visual Integrity Lab. The toolkit is a participatory visual communication system that addresses visual plagiarism and supports ethical design practice in art and design education. Structured activities, prompt cards and a cohesive visual identity guide reflective making. Printed items include a workbook, a custom folder, a poster, postcards and a notepad, produced on Munken Polar Rough paper with spot UV detailing. The toolkit supports collaborative learning across different teaching contexts.
